Greetings Benfield Families!

24 More Days! We are so excited to begin this school year and have high expectations for a wonderful year of learning and growing. New Student Orientation

Mrs. Wrye and Mrs. Myers will host a new student orientation on Thursday, August 25th from 1:30 - 2:15 p.m. (just before the Sneak a Peek event). We will share information about the school and offer an opportunity to ask questions.

For kindergarten families, if you attended the orientation this past Spring, you do not need to attend this orientation.

Sneak-a-Peek at Your Seat

We will host all Benfield families on Thursday, August 25th for an opportunity to meet the teachers and staff and visit the classrooms. This will take place from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Note: This date changed from Friday to Thursday due to other county obligations on Friday.

2022-2023 School Supply List

AACPS has increased school budgets to allow us to purchase most of the school supplies for our students. The supply list can be found by clicking here: 2022-2023 School Supply List. This additional funding comes from a grant.

Student Agenda Book

All students in 1st - 5th grades will receive an agenda book. At the front of the agenda, we have information that is useful to parents. A copy of this family guide can be found here. This is especially important for ECI, Prekindergarten, and Kindergarten families because those students do not get an agenda book.

Chromebooks

Students new to Benfield and not from another AACPS school, will receive a chromebook at the beginning of the school year.

For those who already have their chromebooks, please be sure to charge it up in preparation for the school year.
