Title I Family Compacts Fall
Title I Compacts were sent home September 1st!
YELLOW-6th grade
GREEN-7th grade
BLUE-8th grade.
The compacts are due September 21, 2023.
If your student returns the compact signed no later than September 21st, the student will be entered into a drawing for these 4 books! (choose from American/World history)
What is a Title I Compact?
Development of the Title I Family Compact
In August, LMS students joined staff and parents to develop ideas about how they can succeed in English Language Arts and Math. Teachers used SMART goals to formulate standards for student success. Students and parents were given surveys for compact input and decided on the following ideas to make connections between learning at home and school.
Lakeview Middle School Wide S.M.A.R.T. Goal
Increase the weighted percentage of students scoring at proficient learner or above on the Georgia Milestones assessment in all grade levels and all core subjects
6th Family Compacts parent Conference (info PIC above)
Math Goal- Develop and understand fractions, ratios, & rates. Solve multi-step word problems. Student achievement of 74% or higher.
English Arts Goal- Proficient in writing of essays and mastery of imperative ELA skills

- Complete homework/classwork on time.
- Study at home for tests/quizzes
- Work on i-Ready Math and Reading Plus

Student needs to check grades and assignments in Infinite Campus to complete any missing assignments.
Teachers
Offer and participate in Title I Literacy Night/ Math Night to give parents ways to help their child in English language arts and math.
Use Remind App
Google Classroom for English language arts, math assignments, and tests.
Communicate with families about child’s learning
Review student progress on IC and Portal, discuss with students, and contact other student teachers for assistance when needed.
Parents
Access the Parent Portal and should regularly check to see that their student is completing the work in a satisfactory manner.
Ask your student daily about the school day.
Work with teachers to support student success.
Promote completing homework and classroom assignments.
7th Family Compacts Parent Conference
Math Goal - Develop an understanding of operations of rational numbers, work with expressions and equations in real-world contexts, and solve multi-step problems.
English Arts Goal-Proficient Vocabulary development and essay/response writing.
