Nature Hill Office Notes
- Please leave any item you need to drop off for your student, on the table in the foyer. There is tape and a marker there for you to put a name on the item if you haven't already. We will collect the items and distribute them to students.
- Please contact the school office with questions or concerns, if possible, before stopping in. We are happy to help you schedule a face-to-face appointment or arrange for a phone conversation. You can also email the office at NHIOffice@oasd.org.
OASD Learning Hub
The OASD has created a specific spot to go to find the latest information on the district's return to school plan. This link will also lead you to weekly updates and health information.

Library Check Out
Hello families, Library book check-out will look a little different this year. Watch this video for more information on book check-out and return. Your child will hear about this option in their Language Arts Class. Book Check-Out Language Arts teachers will be sharing this form with all NHI students. They will use this link to “order” library books. Books will be delivered to each student in a brown paper bag. Book Return Students will return library books to bins in their classroom, at which time one student will return those to the library. There will be a return bin waiting outside of the library doors. Books will be quarantined until safe to return to shelves. We are excited to get books into the hands of all students! Thank you!

Character Dare
It’s been so wonderful to have students back in the hallways of NHI, and we love seeing their smiling eyes behind masks. It seems we are all appreciating the little things in life a little bit more these days, like simply getting to share a meal together, or to be able to hold a face-to-face discussion with classmates.
We love seeing these connections being built between students, and we’ll continue working on building up strong character traits as individuals and as classroom communities to help establish safe, respectful and responsible classroom environments. Students will recieve their new Character Dare this Friday, so we are posting the new family dare in this edition of the Smore as well. Remember, we’d love to see how your family takes on these challenges! If you take a video or photo of your family taking on a dare, please post it to our twitter @NHI_Wolves, or to our Nature Hill Intermediate PTO page. You can also send your picture or description to our Dean of Students, Kelly Boldt at boldtk@oasd.org. We’d love to print these and fill our hallways with the great things happening in our NHI hallways and homes! This week’s character dares:
Student Dare: Who Will You Become? Over the next week, try to create a daily To Do List and To Be List with at least two items on each and aim for 100% completion for five consecutive days. You can keep the same To Be List words each day and build a habit around actions related to those words. Or, mix it up each day and see if you can find an action that feels fun or meaningful enough to “stick.”
(Character Trait: Commitment)
Family Dare: Walking Trash Pick-Up: Go for a walk in your neighborhood or at a local park and pick up any trash you see along the way. Come prepared! Bring some gloves and a garbage bag from home so you can be clean while you clean. Make it a competition! Who can pick up the most trash or pick it up the fastest?
Thank you!
