THE BOSTON TEA PARTY
BOOM! It was December 16, 1773 when The Boston Tea Party began. There were 60 brave colonists who boarded a ship and dumped over 342 chests of tea in the water. People didn't want to pay taxes, so that is why they dumped the tea. In some states such as New York and Philadelphia they did not allowed people to bring in ships that has tea on them. But there was one governor named Thomas Hutchinson who does let ships let them unload their ships even if the did have tea on them. As a result, people needed to pay high taxes. This war started all because of the tea and the high taxes.
