Heroin

Definition of this drug. What is it?
Heroin is an opiate, similar to oxycontin, that is partially manmade while still some what natrual. Heroin is made from morphine and extracted poppy plant. It can be a white or brown powder or a black sticky substance, and is either injected, smoked, or sniffed. Heroin will make the user sleepy and happy although can have terrible long term effects such as death.

Heroin can also be referred to as: Big H, Smack, or Chiva.

- Coma

- Throwing up
- Slow breathing
- Severe itching
- The user will become very sleepy
Statistics
The number of people using Heroin doubled from 214,000 in 2002 to 517,000 in 2013. In 2011 250,000 plus hospital emergencies involved heroin.
Advice
Drug use is very dangerous and ruins many peoples lives. It will limit many if not all oppurtunities in life and is common to result in death. If you are ever asked to do drugs always say no and you can make up an excuse not to use like you have a sports event the next day.

I feel that drug abuse is a sad way to waste life. Drug abuse limits people's oppurtunities in many ways inlcluding, the person's friends, their job, education, and many other experiences.
What's the difference between legal medicine and illegal drugs?
Legal medicine is used to cure illnesses although if misused can be very harmful and have some of the same effects as illegal drugs. Illegal drugs are not supposed to be used because of their dangerous effects on the body and how it functions.
