Give Thanks This Thanksgiving!
When children have a positive outlook, they do better in school. Thinking about the "good things" in one's life helps.
This Thanksgiving, take time to sit down together. Make and share lists of what you're thankful for. Be sure to mention school and any progress your child is making. Has a teacher done something special to help your child? Does a teacher make school so interesting that your child is happy to start each day?
Don't stop with just a list. Tell your child to take a few minutes to say "thanks."

NEWS FROM our SRO
November 8, 2018
Hello All,
It was about 23 degrees when I drove to the school this morning. I noticed several vehicles driving and pull into the school that still had frost on the windows. This is obviously dangerous while driving. It’s easy enough to collide with another vehicle as it is, when you can’t see or are not paying proper attention. Since we all work with kids, imagine how you’d feel (among the other things that would happen) if you were responsible for striking a child due to the fact you didn’t have a clear view.
There’s a code where you can be fined ($67.00) for failing to de-ice or having obstructed windows while driving. With this in mind, if you park your vehicle outside, please ensure you have enough time to scrape or de-ice your windows prior to driving.
Another helpful hint… When weather plunges like this, people like to run out, start their vehicle and defrost, then run back inside untill the vehicle or they are ready. We get multiple stolen vehicle reports daily when people do this, as they do not lock their vehicles. Please think a head and either keep a spare key inside your house, or get an auto-start on your vehicle. (The auto start systems will shut off the vehicle if someone gets in and tries to drive without the key being inserted and turned. You can also keep the doors locked with this.)
Thank you,
