2018-19 School Year

Fun (and busy) Year in the Library!

The 2018-19 school year has been a busy time with lots of fun activities and events happening in the OMS school library! Maker Space, author visits, finding good books, science labs, research lessons, and club time are a few of the many happenings this year!

Students in all grades and all subjects used the library with their classes this year. Lessons included: website design and creation, genres, science labs, research, digital citizenship, and 3D design and printing.


Students attempted to breakout by solving logic puzzles, answering questions about a novel, and solving math problems.

In addition to lessons and checkout, the library space is used by various classes for group activities and presentations.

Visiting Authors

We were lucky to work with Malaprops' Bookstore this year as they sponsored visiting authors.


Odds & Ends

Our Library

The OMS library is open from 7:05-3:34 daily. Ms. Tremble and Ms. Sturdivant are excited to help students find books, 3D print, and use their technology. This year, we sponsored Gravity Games and Battle of the Books as after school clubs.
