For planning purposes, I am planning a mid-chapter partner quiz towards the middle of next week (Tuesday or Wednesday) and a chapter 6 test before we break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Longer term, students will have a test on December 17 (before leaving on Christmas holiday). The time before Christmas break will be a busy time for testing.
Students have a TenMarks assignment due on Tuesday, November 17th. This will be graded as a homework assignment and provide extra credit to their mid-chapter quiz.
As always, check your student's google classroom stream for up to date information on assignments.
Thanksgiving Break - No School on November 25th-27th.

The students will be reading books of their choice again. Book clubs seemed to go very well. Each group will begin a project on Monday in relation the their book club.
Posters of the 1940s are due Thursday, Friday, or Monday. Students know their due day.
There will be a vocabulary test on Thursday.

We are continuing to work on rhythm and note (solfege) dictation.
Voice students will sing at the Festival of Trees performance of Saturday, December 5 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Students will meet Mrs. Psomas at 12:30 for warm up.
We are discussing songwriting techniques and the importance of putting our thoughts on paper. Students are learning music dictation of rhythm patterns and solfege intervals. We will be using our chromebooks to learn notes on the staff and review intervals. Voice students are learning to sing the National Anthem in 2 part harmony. We are learning to sing, Mary Mary, O Holy Night. Fun Fun Fun, Noel, Noel, Noel, Fa, la, la, la, la.
Voice students will be singing on December 8th, 2015 at the Brewer PTSO meeting at 6:00. Voice students are to meet Mrs. Psomas in the voice classroom at 5:45.
