Math - Mr. Smith

7th grade math students completed their chapter 5 test. These have been returned and posted to power school. We have moved to chapter 6 which increases our focus on algebra by learning how to evaluate and simplify expressions. The distributive property plays a large role in this process.

For planning purposes, I am planning a mid-chapter partner quiz towards the middle of next week (Tuesday or Wednesday) and a chapter 6 test before we break for the Thanksgiving holiday. Longer term, students will have a test on December 17 (before leaving on Christmas holiday). The time before Christmas break will be a busy time for testing.

Students have a TenMarks assignment due on Tuesday, November 17th. This will be graded as a homework assignment and provide extra credit to their mid-chapter quiz.

As always, check your student's google classroom stream for up to date information on assignments.
