Attending preschool provides opportunities for children to learn in ways that interest them and building a positive association with learning. Preschool helps children develop a drive to learn that they will take with them throughout their time in school. We want to celebrate how much the children have grown in the sort time together. Some of the children will return to preschool in the fall however, they accomplishment a lot this year as well!
Please RSVP to Ms. Danielle by Monday, June 20th if you will be attending!
P.S. dress your best!
Field Day 2022
We had a blast at our first ever JC Field Day! The events we participated in where Sack Races, Relay Race, Egg Balance, Hand Ball, and 3 Step Relay. The cloudy weather and soggy grass did not stop us from having fun! The 4th and 5th grade volunteers were amazing. They taught us how to play each event, cheered us on and where so patient with us! It was a super fun experience. The best part was having popsicles from the PTA to end our amazing day!
Can't wait for Field Day next year!!! Go White Dinos!!!

We are bug rescuers not bug squishers!
We started a new learning unit will the thought of, where their bugs when the dinosaurs were a live? We had to go investigate and research if there were such things as prehistoric bugs! Let's be glad they are extinct. However, this research brought up the questions of our back yard bugs we see everyday! Since it is spring and the weather is nicer, the bugs have been showing up all over the place. This interested help start a KWL chart. We are sharing what we already know about bugs. The first major vocabulary word we learned is that the word/name bug has another word... insect. Insects are more specify to identify. An insect has 6 legs, 3 body parts, wings and antennas. Unlike other "bugs" like worms, spiders and snails (they are classify as something different than an insect.) We will keep on exploring more depth about insects into next week. As well, for the next few weeks the children will have the opportunity to watch and explore real caterpillars turn into butterfly's.
We asked the big question... do you even like insects?! Hopefully after this unit more children will appreciate and understand that insects are not all that bad! As well did a sorting activity where they had to identify and describe which pictures were and were not insects. This follows the CT ELDS of children using logic and reading to observe different or the same attributes about insects.
The Months Family Project! Thank you for sharing all the fun things you did this school year!
A look-see into our classroom!
Social Emotional Learning
This week we focus on asking what you need and/or want. It is important for children to be able to ask for help when they need it. For many children, this requires speaking up in a strong, respectful way. Speaking up in this way (being assertive) also helps children get along with others. The children demonstrate asking for what they need or want during skill-practice activities. Children need to ask for what they need or want, face the person they are asking and use a respectful voice.
