2019-2020 Theme: LEAD with PRIDE
PHMS Announcements: April 26-May 2, 2020
1. School will remain closed for the remainder of the year as directed by Governor McMaster. However, our e-Learning instruction will continue until the end of the school year. In the coming weeks, we will provide you with information on how students can return school books, pick up personal items, and receive refunds from field trips. If you need to reach us you can send an email to phms@lexington1.net or call 803-821-2700.
2. This week, students will be completing Phase 2 and taking summative assessments in their classes. Please keep in mind these assessments are optional and the grade will only be recorded if it positively impacts a student’s grade. If you have questions about a summative assessment, you can contact your child’s teacher. e-Learning Grading Guidelines

7. Spring Portrait Update - Due to COVID-19, LifeTouch has not been able to ship Spring Portraits (taken on 3/3) to the school. They are still being shipped directly to the school, but we do not currently have a timeline for when that shipment will happen. As soon as we know more, we will make a plan to get those photos to families. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Please email mhuffstetler@lexington1.net with any questions.
8. Lexington School District One will be providing free meals to students from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Rosenwald Community Learning Center. You can drive into the student drop off area and pick up your meals. The parent/guardian can have the children in the car or, if they do not have the children, they will need to present some form of valid identification for each child.
Our theme for the school year is LEAD with PRIDE. We hope that this theme will inspire our students to have a feeling of self respect and satisfaction for the things that they will accomplish this year.

· On Wednesdays, the district provides Wednesday’s lunch and breakfast and lunch for the following Thursday and Friday.
· On Mondays, the district provides Monday’s lunch, breakfast and lunch for Tuesday, and breakfast for Wednesday.
As a reminder, the program offers free food for children 18 years old and younger, as well as students with disabilities up to age 21.
