Tis the season for a pamper, Xmas shopping and spa classes!
BOOKING CHRISTMAS CLASSES
Do you wish that your spa classes were booked in for you and you could just go out and teach them? Don’t we all. That would be a bit like opening a spa and hoping that you’ll have a full appointment diary. It just wouldn’t happen.
It’s all about talking to people (even acquaintances and strangers), building a relationship with clients, demonstrating our results-driven skincare, developing friendships with customers, and creating a great reputation as the person to go to for skincare advice, letting everyone know what you’re now doing, being loud and proud about it.
If you share your passion and excitement for classes, you’ll fill your diary.
There are 3 key actions you need to take to Book Classes.
Step 1) Build your prospective list (this is a contact list of people to reach out to and share the opportunity to have a pop up spa at home).
Think about people who love to socialise, have a passion for beauty, love natural products, and even those who really need a boost!
FRANKS is a great tool to use (Friends, Relative, Acquaintances, neighbours, Kid’s and their parents and Strangers).
You may have contacts at Gyms, clubs, hairdresser, dog groomer, empty nesters, football clubs, aesthetic clinics, hairdressers, beauty therapists people who love to shop, your Christmas card list, Co-workers, Teachers, Wedding Guest list, your mobile phone contacts, FB and Insta friends.
But if you don’t have enough people to reach out to in your network… then it’s time to expand your network. I’d recommend:
· googling women’s groups in your nearest town or city
· attending networking events with a spa stand
· booking a trade stand at a Christmas Fair or Market
· browsing the internet for suitable health and wellness events and networking where you could have a stand or meet new people.
· approaching local business to host a free wellness workshop or give their customers a free pampering.
· reading the local newspaper and finding out what’s going on in your local area and getting involved in community events.
· hosting a class for charity- and maybe giving them a percentage of your takings to a good cause.
You should be continually adding to your prospective list when you meet people on a daily basis.
Step 2) Warm up potential class hosts with a text, an email, a message or a handwritten note inside the Temple Spa booklet (the one which includes the hostess gifts and the menu of classes).
The warm up note should sound like it’s coming from you and reflect your personality. Mine would say something like:
"Hi Holly. I have a new job as a Temple Spa Class teacher. You may have heard of us? We have 108 spas and we’re in Harrods too? I love teaching the classes and the best bit is that I get to give free facials to my friends! If you and your friends would like one, let me know and I’ll book you in. First come first served."
“Hi Holly. As you know, I’m a Temple Spa Class teacher and I’ve just realised you’ve never had a free facial from us. How have I missed you? We use the same products for our treatments as Harrods and our spas. I think you’d love it. If you think do, drop me a quick message, and I’ll send you come dates for a class."
"Hi Holly, I know you love our products already. But I don’t think I’ve ever introduced you to our Red Carpet Miracle facial – which focuses more on a glycolic peel and our cosmetic range – we take you from Manchester to the Milan runway in 2 hours. Ha ha if that sounds like fun, I’d love to share our celebrity skincare secrets with you and your friends, just let me know when you’re free?"
"Hi Holly, I know you like to get the girls round from time to time. And wondered if you' ever thought of having a Pop-Up Spa at yours? It's really simple, I bring all the face-masks and pampering! It's a great Girls Night In for 6-8 friends. If you like the sound of it, I can send you some more details?"
Step 3) The fortune is in the follow-up. Get ready for a Booking Conversation. Personal is always best. Another email or text does not count. A booking conversation is face to face or over the phone.
Be friendly and professional and make sure your follow up is genuine and professional. What do you know about her? What does she like? Sending out an email is impersonal and likely won’t result in bookings. Pick up the phone if you really want results.
"Hey Holly it’s Mhari – hope you got my text/email the other day. What do you think about that free facial for you and your friends?"
"Yes . great. I’ve got a couple of openings in my diary for Nov 10th and 15th. Which one would be best for you?"
"They don't suit ? No problem - how about Nov 20th?"
"Nov 20th – great – would you like 2-4pm in the day or 6-8pm in the evening?
Fab – now the hardest bit choosing which of your fave 8 friends get to have a free facial with you. I organise everything else. You’re going to love the skin therapy class."
Booking is as simple as always adding new people and ideas to your contact list. Warming up 5-10 people a day with a text, email, or social media message. Then following up with the same people after 48 hours with a booking conversation.

WHAT IS A WELLNESS CLASS IN THE WORKPLACE?
We teach Skincare Classes in private homes and we can also host Wellness classes in the corporate environment - in offices, boardrooms and workplaces. These are complimentary sessions and are a great way to: widen your client base, boost awareness of your Temple Spa business, book classes with new customers, sell skincare, give back to the community and reduce stress amongst employees.
CAN I HOST ONE?
Yes , of course, You've already had Skin Therapy class training and Wellness sessions are probably easier. There is a script to download at hub.templespa.com under Downloads and Wellness Sessions.
HOW DO I BOOK THEM?
Why not brainstorm a list of local businesses and send them an email (there’s a great example on the hub)? Also think about your past employers or people you know who work in local businesses.
Our workplace sessions are complimentary, great for team building, as well as mental health awareness and employee wellbeing. Our Lifestyle Consultants have held Wellness Sessions in Law firms, GP Surgeries, Private Hospitals, Police and Fire HQ, Football and Rugby Clubs, Marketing Agencies, Housing Trusts and Accountants.

START BOOKING JANUARY NOW:
It makes sound business sense to start booking classes in January. Here's why:
(a) It's one of the best times of the year to book classes after Christmas. Spa breaks are popular, but our classes are free!
(b) People need to relax and have some 'me time' after such a hectic time with family.
(c) They've probably over-indulged with food and drink - so healthy living and wellness is key!
(d) Our Double Detox class is a firm favourite (but even if you haven't started teaching this class, you can still cover 'detox as part of Skin Therapy) - with Be Gone Cleanser, Breakfast Smoothie (to eradicate dead skin cells) and Purification mask to deeply cleanse the pores.
(e) Slimming and weight loss is often at the forefront of people's minds in January - Go Figure slimming cell (our magic knickers in a tube) is a firm favourite at the start of the year!

How to promote
Promote to Manager at celebrate with an overnight stay and party at The Waldorf!
It's super easy! Recruit 6 people and ensure they all qualify (ie sell £175 in a calendar month) . Your personal sales = £1,500. Your team sales: ie between all of you, should be £5,000 in one calendar month. Hey presto you're a manager.
How do I become a Senior Lifestyle Consultant?
Just sell £4,000 in 4 calendar months and you become Senior Lifestyle Consultant. Head office will send you some professionally-designed business cards with your new job title on.
What happens if you sell £4,000 across 3 months or sooner? You promote sooner of course.
