Lott’s House and Recovery, Inc. is a consumer-driven program that aims to enhance the lives of people in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. It exists to foster recovery & to empower individuals, families, and the community of Sacramento and Placer Counties. Lott’s House and Recovery, Inc. provide peer-based recovery supports founded on the principle that great competence and wisdom reside in those with lived experience. Volunteers are central to the work of Lott’s House and Recovery, Inc. and are involved in all programs: leading support groups, planning events, publishing the newsletter, and serving as ambassadors to the community. Anyone is welcome to apply to volunteer, including family members, concerned others, and professionals.
We envision a transformed system where people with mental health and addiction recovery needs have access and informed choice to a range of services and activities that support their individual recovery needs. People are supported as they participate fully in their community and achieve their personal recovery goals Our Goal is to serve persons with mental health conditions, including those with co-occurring disorders, by establishing a flexible peer-driven infrastructure across the county that will support recovery oriented services and activities that respond to individual and community needs. Lott’s House and Recovery, Inc. will foster the development, promotion, and coordination of innovative recovery-oriented best practices.
Our Founder:
Lottie Clay is the Executive Director of Lott’s House and Recovery, Inc. Ms. Lottie founded Lott’s House and Recovery, INC. in 2015 with a mission to provide a true continuum of care to residents living in her transitional housing program. Ms. Lottie’s story reads like an epic tale filled with near misses, struggle, strength, courage and triumph from her life’s experiences. She has uncovered her life’s purpose, discovered the power that lie within and recovered her spiritual self by emerging as a living testament to God’s prevailing peace, power and presence. Lott’s House and Recovery, INC utilizes the resources from the community to meet the therapeutic and transitional challenges of homeless men with co-occurring disorders such as substance abuse, addiction, mental illness, and HIV/AIDS.
