You know that your kids have something special inside them. We know it too. Washington Virtual Academies (WAVA) and K¹² ignite the minds of children like yours to bring learning and innate possibility alive. Together, we are helping Washington students in grades K-12 reach their true, personal potential.

Week of Welcome, W.O.W!

Week of Welcome is offered September 11th- 15th. Please choose ONE Orientation and ONE Workshop to attend.


During this week you will learn how to navigate the Online School (OLS), complete the Online Learning Course, complete lessons, complete your Student Checklist, attend class connect sessions, and get all of your questions answered. All sessions are required.

Requirements to Start School

New Students must login to their account and attend one Orientation, one Online Learning Course Workshop, and complete the Online Learning Course in the student account. This is a requirement to start school at WAVA.

Courses and Teachers will be assigned on the first day of school, September 11th.

Materials begin shipping from K12 on August 9th, please check out the links for more information.

REQUIRED: Online Learning Course

You will be assigned a REQUIRED course that is due BEFORE your first day of school. The Online Learning Course will available on Monday, September 11th, and is due by Friday, September 15th. You can find this course in the student account.

Online Learning Course Workshop

The Online Learning Course Workshop is a REQUIRED session that will be offered multiple times during Week of Welcome, please attend ONE only.


The course will available on Monday, September 11th, and is due by Friday, September 15th. You can find this course in the student account.

9th- 12th Special Education Workshop

Tuesday, Sep. 12th, 11:30am

This is an online event.

This Workshop is for families who already have an IEP in place. There will be only one offered before the first day of school due to WAVA staff preparing for school to start. This will be recorded.
