The book A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is a great book about a grumpy old man named Scrooge and how he had to make sacrifices. The first reason you should read it is because it is very interesting. You want to keep reading it to see if Scrooge will make some sacrifices and become a better person. It kept your attention with different spirits coming in. Next, when the spirits came, Charles Dickens explained how they came in and what they looked like very well. He explained their clothes very well, I could completely visualize them. Finally on Christmas Day you find out that Scrooge has decided to make sacrifices to become a better person. Some of his sacrifices were giving money to the poor and he bought a turkey for his clerk. In conclusion this is a great book and you should read it the next time you go to the library!

Sacrifices

There are many sacrifices in A Christmas Carol and in real life. One from A Christmas Carol is a when Scrooge decides to sacrifice some of his money to the poor. It was a big sacrifice because before the spirits came all he cared about was money. One sacrifice that I had to make was when we found out what my brother was allergic to. So I couldn't eat those foods in the house.
