Many say that video games can harm you, or damage your learning in school, but there are many huge gamers with GPAs of 4.0, so this got me thinking that video games do help you out with real life situations.

To start off, video games are really fun to play. But there are better uses too. For instance, video games is a great use of focus and strategy. Video games can also teach you the science and physics of the real world, Minecraft is a great example of this. It teaches you survival, production, strategy, engineering, and planning. Video games also give you a great relationship between the hand-eye coordination. According to, "playing video games can improve reaction times and hand-eye coordination."

Even though focus is a great thing, too much focus and addiction to video games will drive parents in sane. According to, "I know from my own research examining both sides that my papers on video game addiction receive far more publicity than my research into the social benefits."Parents can't get the kids addiction easily away from the game. Also playing video games for a long period of time could lead to laziness or obesity. According to, "Purported negative effects such as addiction, increased aggression, and various health consequences such as obesity and repetitive strain injuries tend to get far more media coverage than the positives"
