Local Businesses Recognize Teachers
Each month, some of the local businesses in the Godley community take the time to recognize a teacher within the Godley ISD school district as Teacher of the Month. The teacher is presented with a basket full of gifts, gift cards, etc. from Godley area businesses wanting to show their appreciation. An email is sent out each month where Godley ISD staff can nominate teachers for Teacher of the Month. The honoree is chosen by a group, not associated with Godley ISD. We appreciate the volunteers and businesses for putting in the time and contributing to this program.
August Teacher of the Month - Michelle Bell, Godley Intermediate

Security at Godley ISD
Godley ISD recently performed a major upgrade on their security cameras across the district. The new High School system, developed by Verkada Inc., was highlighted recently in the customer reviews on the company website. The full video and story can be found here.
The Verkada camera system was chosen for its innovative approach to safety, scalability, and affordability. Their solution is a complete redesign of classic security systems that focuses on performance and ease of use. This new system gives administrators secure access to the cameras and footage from any device, any location, all the time. The intuitive controls allow staff to easily share video with first-responders should the need arise; but this is performed through a centralized web interface that maintains data privacy and security.
The new system cost significantly less than the conventional security systems because it eliminates the need for centralized servers, complex licensing plans, and additional installation costs. The Verkada cameras leverage the existing network and minimizes the bandwidth necessary for a robust camera solution.
Godley ISD was one of the first schools to adopt this hybrid security solution. The district is excited to partner with Verkada since the solution easily scales with the rapid growth happening in the schools. The advanced tools for searching and analyzing video will also rapidly improve response times for better safety and security throughout the district.
