What we are learning in Room 12...
If your child is going to be absent, please let me know in advance if possible, so I can send make-up work with them.
- Math - Test scores from Unit 1 came home in your child's folder on Friday. If your child failed the test, please sign and return the copy that says "sign and return" in red ink. You may keep the black and white copy at home. We have started our next unit (Unit 6) and are learning about bar graphs, picture graphs, and line plots!
- Reading - We will finish our unit about story elements by summarizing the beginning, middle, and end of Too Many Pumpkins. We will also prepare for the AIR Reading test by looking at practice tests and questions.
- Writing/Spelling - This week the spelling word pattern is another week of "consonant digraphs." The words will be in the back of the yellow take-home folder and the test will take place on Friday. In writing class, we are finishing up our unit about grammar/sentence structure.
- Science - The students will learn about natural resources/energy for the next few weeks with Mrs. Kerscher!
