Muslims believe in the 5 pillars. The first one is declaration of faith which shows the belief in one God. The second pillar is Prayer, which is 5 times a day. The third pillar is charity. Charity is sharing money with the less fortunate. The forth pillar is fasting which is going without food for a month. The last pillar is Pilgrimage. They take a trip to Mekkah. They practice these 5 pillars. Muslims worship at a Mosque. A minaret is a call to prayer. A Muslim's worship leader is a Imam which is a prayer leader and a Mullah which is a teacher. A Muslims holy book is a Koran. On Friday nights Muslims gather at a mosque to pray. Eid-al-Fitr is when Muslims wear new clothes and decorate homes. Eid-al-Adna is a festival. Muslims pray, they point to Mekkah where the Ka'ban is. Ramadan is the 9th month of the Islamic moon calender. Muslims fast between sun up and sun down. During this time Muslims lean to be thankful for food and the drinks they have. Muslims wear white to show that everyone is equal. This holiday celebrates Allah giving Mohammed a message/ when Allah delivered/sent down the holy book Koran. A holy place for Muslims is Makkah in saudi Arabia, because it is where the Ka'ban is. Jerusalem is also a holy site, because it is where the dome of the rock is. Like Christianity and Judaism, Islam only believes in one god which is monotheism religion based on Abraham.
