Cozine Climber Updates - September 7

A Note From Cozine:

Hi Climbers!

Please remember to send your child with at least two masks each day. We are giving out 30-50 masks a day, and it is very helpful if your child comes to school with their own.

Our arrival and dismissal processes are improving daily! We are getting over 700 students in and out of school within 15 minutes each day! That's a celebration! However, we know that there can still be issues that arise. Please remember to treat each other with kindness and respect, even when frustrated. Little ears are listening, and we would love our campus community to be a wonderful example for each of our students. Also, remember to drive slowly around campus. Our kids are not always watching for traffic, so please slow down and watch for them. We would hate for someone to get hurt because a driver was in a hurry.

In Kindness,
Ms. Jodi Notch and Ms. Lisa Dalton

UPDATES

Dollars for Duke

Duke sends a great big "THANK YOU" for helping keep him healthy and happy! Our amazing community raised over $1500 to keep him fed and sheltered.

Fun Run Fundraiser

Over the next few weeks, we will be raising funds to help with student activities during the school year and purchase additional technology devices as our school community continues to grow.

Students will attend a virtual kick-off assembly on Thursday, September 9, and can begin raising money immediately! The great thing about this fundraiser is that it's easy to share with friends and family near and far! The Fun Run event will take place on Thursday, September 23.

Be on the lookout for additional digital communication!

Dismissal Procedures

Dismissal has been much smoother in recent weeks! Thank you all for assisting with this and for your suggestions! Just to update everyone again on our most recent change to dismissal, I wanted to include it here.

You will notice a walkway with a black carpet in the middle of the gate. This walkway should remain open to allow a path for our students to exit the gate safely through the crowd of people.

To help with congestion at the gate, please approach our dismissal gate only when your student's class is arriving on the playground. By waiting for the appropriate time, we can eliminate unnecessary crowding.

Our dismissal times are as follows:

3:05pm- Kindergarten and first grades

3:10pm- Second and third grades

3:15pm- Fourth and fifth grades

Symptom Check

Please make sure that you are checking your student for the following symptoms before school each day. If your student is sick, please keep him or her home to monitor symptoms.
