We've had some great times at The Mission the last couple of Sunday's. We've had great music and even enjoyed some fresh made food. Thanks to all of our musicians and chefs. And thanks to all of you for stopping by to enjoy a glass of Trent's delectable wines. Trent has been busy making the next vintage which involves tasting, testing and blending. We bottled a couple different varietals too. All is going well.

Trent, Silvia and their kids are going on vacation this month. They're heading to Spain for about a month. Silvia is from Spain so there'll be some fun and some family time too. Have a great time Trent and Silvia and don't worry about the winery. We'll keep things going while you're gone. Here's a couple of shots of the country below. I wish I were going.......

Mission Cellars would like to extend a thank you to all of you Fathers out there, We know it's not an easy job, but you do it well. We thank you and your families love you. Congrats Dads! Bring Dad to the winery on Father's Day. You know he enjoys a glass of wine once in a while.

There's NO cover charge and we're open to everyone. You're welcome to bring food or you can order it from the local restaurants. The Hop Stop, Smokin Js, The Hamburger Factory and Wholly Crepe are all available for food service. See you soon!

The Railroad has a new brochure with updated pictures and info about it. That's the picture on the left (above). The picture on the right shows the back panel of the brochure with our winery advertisement on it. We worked with Chuck Cross and his team to get the artwork approved and Streeter Printing put it on paper for us. You can pick up a brochure at the Train Station or at the winery. If you haven't been on the train, you're missing out. It's a fun ride!

Mission Cellars has joined the Poway Chamber of Commerce. We'll be included in some of their advertising and we'll attend their events all in an effort to be a part of the community and to get our name out there. We thank you for your part in spreading the word by telling your friends and family members to visit us. It's also helpful if you go on Google and review the winery. Thanks again.

The skins of a wine affect the color of the wine, as well as a couple other aspects of it. Our Mission Cellars Rose' is made from Malbec grapes. The grapes are crushed and the juice is exposed to the skins for a very short time, only a few hours. This process gives the juice a minimal amount of color causing it to appear a light Rose' color. Regular red Malbec uses the same grape but the skins are left in the juice all through fermentation (a couple weeks) so they get the maximum amount of color, flavor and tannins. This makes it a big, dark red wine. Two completely different wines from one type of grape. It's all in the processing.

Our Paint and Sip program has been put on hold for now. The lady who runs it has gotten Covid so we're not sure what to expect. We'll update you again when we figure things out. The June 2nd event and all other events in June have been cancelled. Thank you for your patience in this matter.
