James Todd Smith was born January 14th, 1968 born in Queens, New York. He was an only child. LL Cool J stands for "Ladies Love Cool James". He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, New York. He has a wife, Simone Smith, and they have four children; Najee Laurent Todd Eugene Smith (26), Italia Anita Maria Smith (24), Samaria Leah Wisdom Smith (20) and Nina Simone Smith (14). His mother's name is Ondrea Smith and his father is James Nunya. He is a pop-rapper, an actor and a TV show host.

Accomplishments

LL Cool J, accomplished becoming a rapper because his parents supported him.

He now has an acting career and is a regular on the show "NCIS: Los Angeles". He has written four books and he wrote and performed the first love rap song called "I Need Love" in 1985. LL Cool J has his own record label and website called Boomdizzle that is for aspiring artists.
