WELCOMING BACK STUDENTS

Students Return to Dawes
On Monday, Dawes Elementary welcomed back PreK and Cluster students for in-person learning. Students and families followed social-distancing guidelines, donned proper face-coverings and completed the CPS Health Screener as they arrived for school Monday.

Common Threads Cooking Demo Common Threads, a Dawes Community Partner (through Metropolitan) shared with families two simple recipes for breakfast. Families joined a chef on Zoom and created homemade granola bars and a healthy yogurt parfait. View the granola bar recipe here. | Mobil Gas Station Donation A big THANK YOU to the Mobile at 82nd & Pulaski for the generous donation to Dawes School. Dawes Elementary is grateful to have such supportive businesses right around the corner! Dawes will put the funds toward graduation fees for our 8th grade class. | New Projects! Several Dawes teachers and staff have had their Donors Choose projects funded recently. Ms. Rowe was able to fund a project to ensure her students had access to school supplies whether in school or learning at home. Ms. Clancy created a project and recieved a new laptop for her class!
