Math
During the week April 17th-21st, students learned how to combine algebraic expressions. They also used the commutative, associative, and distributive properties with algebraic expressions. Homework that is due on Monday, April 24th is page 393(2-8),page 394(1-6) and page 399(2-4), page 400(1-6). Also, students worked on a handout on combining like terms in class this week. I am collecting the handout on Monday.
During the week of April 24th-28th, students will be preparing for the MSTEP. They will be taking the state test during the first week of May. This week, students will be solving algebraic equations and learning about using inverse operations to solve equations. Students will also be graphing inequalities.

Thank you to the students that were able to make Science Night a huge success. All of the stations were well managed and you all did a great job running and explaining your station. Thank you parents for allowing your student to participate.
We will continue with our Waves Unit. Students will be working on a poster later this week.
