Absenteeism/Illnesses

Due to Flu and other illness, attendance is continuing to be below average. Please help us in reminding students to use proper hygiene methods: washing hands with soap often, using hand sanitizer, and not sharing food or writing utensils.

Please remember that when students come back to school, please provide a doctor's excuse or parent note. A student is allowed a maximum of five parent notes a year. More information regarding attendance can be found on page 3 of the student handbook in front of each student agenda.

Lost and Found

Many items have been collected during the winter months. Please have your child look and see if he/she has misplaced a coat, jacket, sweatshirt, etc.

February Team Winners

Red Courageous Wolverines!

The team winners for February were the Red Courageous Wolverines! Representing this team are Ms. Gibbs', Mrs. Sallie's, Mrs. Shivel's, and Mrs. Bechtel's classes! Great job on having excellent attendance, behavior, and community service!

Code Club

We wrapped up our Code Club on Feb. 26th. We had about 30 boys and girls. It seemed to be another success!

R-MIS Academic Team

R-MIS placed first in the Regional Governor's Cup tournament! The R-MIS FPS and Quick Recall teams both placed second! Many of our students placed in the top 5 in all written categories at the tournament R-MIS hosted on February 29th. We are so proud of all of the students who participated and the coaches who dedicated their time to their success! Also, thank you to all of the individuals who donated their time and resources to make the event possible including Jimmy John's who supplied lunch for the hospitality room. It was a great day to be a red devil!

State Testing

Students have completed a computerized practice KPREP test. Each student took one section of one subject to give Kentucky's Department of Education information about students' performance with online testing. R-MIS students will still take the official written KPREP test during the last two weeks of school.

March Core Essential and Precept
