Math in the Shadows

With spring weather comes opportunities for our students to step out and learn in the outdoors. Recently, our eighth grade math students got to go outside and practice some of their math skills using measurement and scale factors. Mrs. Dewey instructed student teams to measure one teammate's height and shadow length. Using that information they had to then use another object's shadow length to determine the actual height of the object.

Great nutrition lesson from Ms. Hillary this week!

Ms. Hillary came to visit first grade this week and share some important health information. Students learned how different fruits grow and what they do for our bodies. First grade even made a little rainstorm to help the fruits grow!
