Research Paper Requirements and Rubric
Alternative Assignment
The assignments on this task list cover the same standards as the research paper and will count as completion of the different aspects of the research paper.
ALL tasks must be completed in order to receive full credit for the "research paper".
The "final paper" grade will be a quiz combining all of the standards learned throughout these tasks.
The Assignment:
- Task List with Links to Worksheets
- Use the Writing for Life book in the classroom (these can not be checked out due to limited number, but you may take pictures of the pages you need)
- Turn in tasks as you complete them

Tuesday: Theme Mini Lesson - Theme Chart explained
Wednesday - Friday: Silent Reading Days
April 3-7
Friday: Lit Circle Day (discuss novel/themes with group)
April 10-14
Tuesday: Lit Circle Day (discuss novel/themes with group) Novels must be finished tonight!
Wednesday: Author's Biography Mini Lesson - begin writing
Thursday-Friday: Work on Author's Bio (due Friday at midnight on Canvas)
April 17-21

- Avoiding Plagiarism due Monday
- Introductory Paragraph - due Monday at midnight

Tuesday-Friday: Literary History research and writing - due Friday at midnight
May 1-5

- find at least 2 sources you can use in your paper
- read and highlight articles
