Words from the Woods

July 2020

What about School??

We are ready for anything! While the direction is still pending, we will be able to "have school" in-person, online, or in some kind of hybrid. We will abide by the orders of Governor Cooper regarding school opening and in accordance with public health guidelines.

In the meantime, the information here reflects normal conditions, but we will adapt as needed.

Teachers are revamping syllabi, earning professional credits, designing multimedia instructional tools, reading, and planning for a year of rich learning experiences for all students.

Everyone is looking forward to a fresh start, in whatever form it takes, beginning August 17!

Welcome to Our New 9th-graders

Whether you're just crossing the threshold for the first time or have been at Woods your whole life, we want you to be both comfortable and ready to grow! Ninth grade is a perfect time to try new things, make new friends, and embrace more independence. We encourage students to speak up, ask questions, make some mistakes, practice and get better.

To start you off with information and answers to common questions, please see the
