Principal’s Message

It’s hard to believe that we are almost at the close of the first quarter. Benchmark testing is complete and reports cards will be distributed soon! As you know, the commitment is to establish CMS as a premier middle school in the region. This will be achieved through a strong partnership between the school, families, and school community. To advance this, please continue to dialogue with your students at home about positive choices, study habits, organization, and time management. Should you need to reach out to us for further support, do not hesitate to contact child’s teacher, school counselor, grade level administrator, and even the front office. We always welcome the opportunity to serve and support our students in reaching their maximum potential and to have the best experience possible. The reality of excellence will be achieved at CMS. We will deliver on the promise EVERY STUDENT, EVERYDAY...EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE!

Student of the Month

I want to acknowledge the following students for being recognized as student of the month for their grade level. The administrative team will be personally delivering your yard sign and a coupon for a free pizza. Please be advised that grade level administrators will be making contact to confirm delivery.

Attendance-"Everyday Counts"

We are proud to announce that we are currently holding steady at a 94% attendance rate during the first quarter. This means that our chronic absenteeism rate would be 6% if school accreditation indicators were reviewed by VDOE at this time. I want to thank each of you for playing a part in the "EVERYDAY COUNTS" effort. This is one of many efforts to ensure that Caroline Middle School becomes a premier school in the region!

Weekly Attendance Incentive Raffle

Furthermore, we will begin a weekly attendance incentive drawing for each grade level in the next few weeks. All your student has to do is have perfect attendance for the week to have his or her name entered into the weekly drawing for a prize.

Sports, Activities, and Weekly Buzz

Make sure you are checking out the "Weekly Buzz" for information about sports, clubs, and activities. Announcements are also made daily at school in regards to upcoming meeting dates for the various clubs and activities. Feel free to visit our athletics website and/or contact the main office for more information.
