Conroe High School Tiger Tracks
January 30, 2021
Hello Conroe Tiger Families,
Thank you for a great month of January! As we move along into this spring semester, we already have to begin planning for the upcoming school year. There are some amazing things happening to the physical buildings at both the Ninth Grade Campus and the Main Campus. It will be exciting to see the changes that will benefit all of our students!
For our students, it is the time of year for them to select their courses for next school year. Their requests now help us build our master schedule for the next year to accommodate the needs of our population. You should have received an email yesterday walking you through the Course Verification process. Please pay attention to the following information as it will be helpful for all of our parents to understand this process.
Course selection for the 2021-2022 school has begun! During second period on Monday 2/1, students will watch a video and receive 2 copies of their current course selection. The student will sign one of the copies and give it to the teacher that day, the other copy is for the student to take home and make any needed changes. The due date for any changes to next year's course request is 4/9/21.
Course selection for next year is based on the student's four-year plans. We have already met with all students in grades 9-11 to make any changes the student wanted. You can view your student's four-year plan in Parent Access and let your counselor know of any changes you would like to make. Students wanting to participate in special programs such as AVID or Dual Credit will need to consult those programs for specific due dates related to their programs.
We will have a webinar for all parents of next year’s Conroe High School students on 2/1 at 6:00 pm in English and a Spanish version will be at 7:00 pm. Below are the links:
2/1 6PM - https://conroeisd.zoom.us/j/83761044932
2/1 7PM Spanish - https://conroeisd.zoom.us/j/86098078539
Please see our Course Selection Webpage for resources such as videos, class lists, forms, and frequently asked questions.
Virtual students will be contacted by their counselor to confirm their choices. These students should also view this video as part of their 2nd period.

Student Drop-Off - If you bring your student to school by vehicle, then please remember that the traffic loop in front of the Ninth Grade Campus contains two lanes. Vehicles can utilize the inside lane (left lane) to help alleviate traffic. When our duty personnel see students getting out of the vehicle from the left lane, we will stop traffic in the right lane allowing your student to cross safely. Please remind your student to check traffic before getting out of the vehicle. Parents, please continue to drive slowly and safely in the student drop-off area. Wednesdays and Fridays have more traffic in the morning. We appreciate your attention to safety and patience every day.
