Chromebook Reminder:

Please remember to charge your Chromebooks at home and come to school with them prepared to be used in class! It is important that you are prepared, as this is a necessary tool we use often throughout all classrooms.

Midterm Exam Schedule 2016

Tuesday, January 19th -

Period 1 - 7:30am - 9:00am
Period 2 - 9:15am - 10:45am

Wednesday,January 20th -
Period 3 - 7:30am - 9:00am

Thursday, January 21st -

Exam Procedures


* Students must be in school at the assigned times for exams. Students are not allowed in the corridors during exams.


* Once a student enters an exam room, he or she must remain there until the end of the exam period. No hall passes will be issued.


* The only acceptable excuses for missing exams are those approved by an administrator, such as a funeral or documented medical excuse (doctor’s note).


* Students who miss exams due to an unexcused absence must receive approval from an administrator to take the exam and will be penalized 10 percent per calendar

day after the regularly scheduled date of their exam.


* Students must turn in their textbooks for semester courses and are responsible for paying for lost texts. If lost, payment should be made prior to exam day so that exam time will not be interrupted.


* The WWHS Electronic Device’s Policy is fully enforced during the entire exam period.

*Lunches will be served from 10:45 - 11:05 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Buses will leave at 11:10 on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and will leave at 9:15 on Friday.

Academics/Exams at a glance

Period 1-P.E/Health:


Students will need to work on their health essay/exam at home and will need to come to school with it completed on day of their exam (Tuesday, 1/19). They have the data necessary to complete this data on Google Classroom as well as a hard copy that was supplied to them.


Period 2- Math:


Students that stay in my class for math will continue to review the material that we have covered thus far (including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).


Students will be given a review study guide tomorrow, Wednesday to practice before the exam that will be given next week (Tuesday, 1/19).


Period 2- Academic Lit:


Students will continue reading the story " My Partisan Life Has Begun" from the novel "We Fought Back". Assignments, activities, quizzes and projects will be given periodically and as felt it is needed.


Students in this section will complete a short exam based on grammar and vocabulary and will also be given a short writing prompt. This exam will be given during the period 2 exam block (Tuesday, 1/19)


Period 3-History:


Students are finishing up with the WWII Unit. They will be completing a few additional tasks and have just completed the Holocaust/Nazi Projects which consisted of three sections. Students made their own infographic to present their topic to their peers, they made a study guide using the online game, "Kahoot" and they made their own quiz for the topic that was assigned to them.


Students will be finishing presenting their projects to the class during the exam block (Wednesday, 1/20).


Period 4-English:


Students are continuing to read the novel, "Night" and have about few chapters remaining. We will continue to work through this unit. Quizzes, vocabulary, assignments, and projects will be assigned periodically and as needed.


For the exam period, students will be given a writing task to complete during the period 4 exam block (Wednesday, 1/20).


Period 5-Academic Lit:

Period 5/6- Elective Classes:


Art- Students will be given a study guide this week from their teacher and will be taking the exam on Thursday, 1/21.


Math Lab- Students will be finishing up their projects on the Fibonacci Sequence and will be presenting their projects during the exam block on Thursday, 1/21.


Graphic Design II- The final exam for Graphic Design will consist of two parts. The first part will be a digital submission and the second part will be a written reflection. Please prepare yourself by organizing all of your digital work and reviewing all project directions/requirements. The exam for this period is on Thursday, 1/21.


Algebra 1 & Geometry- Students will be presenting their math projects to the class during exam block on Thursday, 1/21.


Band- Students will be playing a piece during the exam block on Thursday, 1/21.


Period 7- Science:


Students are finishing up their work with the unit on Bacteria and Viruses. We will be using the material we have gathered to work on a project that will be counted as a test grade.


This project will be worked on this week and will be finished/due during the exam period (Friday, 1/21).
