Principal's Message
Last Friday, we enjoyed seeing our students participate in our school wide "Spirit Week" which concluded with our Halloween costume day. The students and staff really enjoyed being creative, unique, and also dressing as team units. It was a fun day that followed with a great Halloween Dance experience. We had over 500 students attend our dance last week and from my observation, they really seemed to have a great time!
This week, our students participated in our school-wide Pep Parade in which our fall sports, marching band, color-front, pom-poms and flags lead the school in celebrating us as a Dolphin unit! We look forward to continuing to build our school spirit in events throughout the year so be sure to check out our school calendar in this newsletter for upcoming events.
Next up is our Can-Can drive. Students will have the opportunity to participate in community service while trying to be the homeroom with the most canned or non-perishable food item that will be donated to our local community in need. One homeroom from each grade level will be awarded with a "Pretzel Party" for their efforts. Details were given to students and teachers this week. The Can-Can Drive will officially begin on November 14th and close on November 18th. Winners will be announced on November 22nd!
October's Teacher Shout-Out goes to:
Mrs. Hoermann!!!!!
Mrs. Hoermann is honored and recognized by her students:
"I choose Mrs. Hoermann because she is nice and kind. She always helps everybody so they can have a fun and great learning year."
Congratulations, Mrs. Hoermann!!!

We will have one winner per grade level so you are competing with other homerooms in your grade level. The Can-Can Drive will conclude on Friday, November 18th at the end of the day. Homeroom non-perishable food counts (1 point per item) will be counted at the completion of our collection week.

Fire Prevention Poster Contest
Every year the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety puts on a poster contest. This year’s theme is “Fire won’t wait. Plan your Escape.” The Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention does local judging and awards prizes to the winners in each division. The winners of each division will then move on to county judging and if selected onto the state level. Below I have attached the poster contest brochure with the rules and registration for each student. The posters must be completed in school to be eligible. Please see the coloring sheets in the links below for the preschool students which are not included in the state competition. If there are any questions feel free to reach out. Looking forward to all the submissions.
Thank you.
