The Sword and Shield

GCA Crusader News • Friday, April 28, 2023

When I'm crossing a street, something weird happens in my brain and I think I need to run even if I have plenty of time and space to get across. My foot hits the asphalt and I suddenly think I need to be Usain Bolt. The reason is obvious, I realize the danger that traffic poses and consider that my calculations may not have been correct.

With the end of the school year coming up, we may be tempted to do that mentally as well. Sure, there's a lot going on (piano recital, conference tournaments, field trips, final exams, class projects, graduations, awards days, etc.), but there's no reason to panic or start sprinting as long as we're paying attention and planning ahead. Let's finish strong and honor our Creator in everything.
