Together We: Learn, Grow, Lead

Grange Hall Families,

As a reminder, instructional materials and resources are now housed on our GHES Learning Resources site and daily office hours for GHES teachers are from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. These hours provide a consistent time that students and parents can reach out to ask questions and share information.

  • If your child needs paper copies of activities, you may pick up these packets on Tuesday, March 31 from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. If you need to pick up paper copies, please email our assistant principal, Mr. Ondrish (shawn_ondrish@ccpsnet.net) so that we are able to prepare the packets for pick-up on Tuesday.
  • There will not be updated assignments/resources April 6 - 13, since that is Spring Break.

Chesterfield County Public Schools has created an online learning hub: CCPS Instructional Supports for Parents, which will house instructional supports and resources for the county, as well as for each individual school.

A parent/guardian may come and sign out medicine if needed/desired. Please have your ID and come between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on Monday, March 30 or 8:00 am - 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 31. Please email me, (courtney_jones@ccpsnet.net) to notify if you will be picking up your child's medicine Monday or Tuesday.

Chesterfield County Public Schools will provide free meals to students while the school division is closed during the next two weeks due to COVID-19. Meals are for children ages 18 and younger, and will be available for pickup at a Food Services kiosk located outside of the school. The attached chart provides school and community locations at which food is available and the hours of service. This program provides lunch for that particular day (Monday-Friday) and breakfast for the next morning. Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. In accordance with federal civil rights law and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s civil rights regulations and policies, institutions participating in USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, religious creed, disability, age, political beliefs or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by the USDA. Chromebook repairs

Chesterfield County Public Schools has developed a plan to provide support for school division-issued Chromebooks during this extended school closure:

  • Every Tuesday at Thomas Dale and Matoaca high schools from 9 a.m. until noon
  • Every Thursday at CTC@Hull and Robious Middle from 1-4 p.m.

A parent and/or student will need to provide their student ID number in order to adjust the school division’s inventory records. Support is limited to students in grades 5-12, who already are participating in the Chromebook take-home program.

Appropriate social distancing protocol will be followed to protect students and staff.

For clarification purposes: While the CCPS Internet network is available to families while in the parking lot, the school division is not giving out free hotspot devices at these repair stations.

Community Resources

Comcast is offering free Wi-Fii for 60 days to low income families during the Corona Virus outbreak. Normally the Wi Fi is $9.95 per month for those same families. Please click here for details.

Kindergarten registration is postponed

Due to our inability to host large gatherings, Kindergarten Registration Day (originally scheduled for April 16) has been postponed. We will reschedule this important opportunity to welcome approximately 4,500 new students to our Team Chesterfield family. When that will occur is an unknown at this point. Restrictions related to large gatherings must be lifted for kindergarten registration to occur. As soon as these restrictions are eliminated, we will announce a new registration date.

Preregistration for kindergarten is available online. This will shorten a family’s visit to school on the actual registration day. Click here to learn more: https://mychesterfieldschools.com/family-and-community-engagement/preparing-for-school/student-registration/kindergarten-registration/.

For those who selected "Shipping," those portraits will be shipped out Monday, March 30th.
