Malacologist study mollusks. Different species of mollusks include: Atlantic pigmy octopus, California two-spot octopus, coconut octopus, mimic octopus, and blue-ringed octopus.
Body functions
Mollusks are billayerally symetrical. They have an open circulatory system with a heart and an aorta. Mollusks mainly reproduce sexually. They move by cillial gliding or ventral muscular wave. Mollusks have intracellular digestion and some use gills to breathe, while others use diffusion
Habitat and ancestors
Mollusks can live anywhere from arctic seas to small tropical streams. Some mollusks live on land while others live at sea. The first known mollusks lived during the early cambrian.
