Message from Mrs. Rodriguez
Dear Garcia Grizzly Family,
We hope that you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Break with family and friends! It is the time to feel grateful for all of the blessings around us! The holiday season has officially started and we are excited to for all of the joy that this season brings! Upon our return from Thanksgiving Break, there will only be three weeks left before we go on to Winter Break!
iReady Diagnostic #2 will start the week upon our return on Tuesday, November 29. Please remember to encourage your student to do well and show progress from iReady Diagnostic #1. We will be hosting our Breakfast with my Parent meetings again coming up in January and look forward to seeing all of you join your students for breakfast and to monitor their iReady data and progress since iReady Diagnostic #1.
Please remember and know our goals for our 3rd-5th grade California Assessment of Student Performance & Progress C.A.A.S.P.P. (state exams) are:
English Language Arts: 37% proficient or higher
Mathematics: 31% proficient or higher
Remember what our theme is this school year! It's all about making good decisions, being critical thinkers, practicing and correcting ourselves when we make mistakes.
Level Up Grizzlies!
Some updates and reminders that are of importance are:
- Please be safe out on the parking lots and abide by our guidelines so that everyone is safe. Guidelines are in place for a reason: student, staff, and visitor safety.
- All procedures and protocols have been reviewed with Colton PD, Rialto Safety & Security with our student safety as the number one priority. If you have any questions about any of our procedures, please contact me at (909) 421-7620 or email me at rrodrigu3@rialtousd.org.
- iReady Diagnostic #2 will be taking place upon our return from Thanksgiving Break! We will start in Tuesday, November 29th. Please prepare your students so they show growth compared to Diagnostic #1.

This is a friendly reminder that during Afterschool Dismissal, all parking lots, drive thru zones are closed. If you see that the cones or barricades are not up, they are still closed at dismissal times. This is for student safety. Thank you for understanding and supporting our efforts to keep our walking students and parents safe.
