CSCS Elementary Parent Newsletter
October 22nd, 2017
To All CSCS Elementary Panther Parents and Students!
I hope that you enjoyed open house as your student showed you the classroom and also ran you around the building finding ROARS hashtags!
Our Boo Bash was one of the best ones ever as we celebrated community and the "scary" part of the Holiday Season! A huge shout out to the PTO, parents, and teachers that collaborated together to create such an amazing fun time!
Please note that parent teacher conferences will be coming up as the first marking period comes to an end in the next two weeks. Please make sure to keep checking your child's bag for more information and do not hesitate to call your child's teacher to set up a conference!
Thank you for everything you do to support our school!

A Note from Mrs. DeCamp
Our school has more recently been working on developing behavior matrices for multiple purposes. Our after school program has it's own set of behavior expectations based on our ROARS expectations. Our oldest students have been using a Technology Matrix with behavior expectations to follow when using technology.
Last Spring, our school introduced a Home & Community Matrix for you to use in your home. You can utilize this matrix to teach your children how to show ROARS in places outside of school. Below, you will find a copy of our Home Matrix!

GRIT and the Growth Mindset
The embedded video below discusses the importance of the concept of "GRIT", and how it is a direct correlation to success. How hard work, perseverance, and learning from our mistakes outshines IQ and emotional intelligence.
