STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
MAYFLOWER COMPACT
Ms. Yaffee's 7th Grade Purple Pod students took on the role of the early colonists. They studied the Mayflower Compact, which was the first document to establish self-government in the New World. The students were then split up into groups and told that they were going to establish their own colony. In their groups they created their own Mayflower Compact, which every member of the colony had to sign. Students also had to select supplies, people, a site, and tasks for their colony to complete to see if they can survive life in the New World!
HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
As a part of the Hispanic Heritage Month, Mrs. Orrego's students are describing and representing one Spanish Celebrity.
