1/10/21 Young School Newsletter
Welcome Back
We were very excited to see our students back at school this past week.
We look forward to sharing specific details regarding the upcoming transition with the hybrid and remote learning schedules very soon. When we do share that information, a specific classroom schedule for all students (remote and hybrid) will be shared by your classroom teacher. Here are a few reminders.
All students (remote and hybrid) will learn remotely on Mondays from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
When hybrid learning begins, Young hybrid students will come to school from 9:00 am - 11:30 am on Tuesday and Thursday.
Young hybrid students will participate in remote learning on the days that they do not come to school in person (Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm).
Remote learning students will learn from home and they will participate in instruction via Zoom Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm.
Student material pick up for remote students only will occur on January 25. Hybrid students will receive their materials at school.

Hybrid Family Planning and Preparation (more information to come out soon)
Students are required to wear a mask. (1 to wear and 1 to keep in child’s backpack as a back-up)
School doors will open at 8:45 am. Students need to be in their classrooms by 9:00 am.
Parents will use ParentVUE to self-certify that students coming on campus are free of COVID-like symptoms. Each school day you login to ParentVUE, you will see a screen asking you to self-certify that your child is symptom free. This video explains the simple process of how to complete this step. This must be done each day prior to your child arriving at school. If this step is not completed and your child is at school, a health services staff member will call you to discuss your child’s health status. We ask that you please monitor your child’s health closely and keep them home if they aren’t feeling well. You can report your child’s absence using ParentVUE after completing the self-certification process.
Please review the in-person hybrid school supply lists. In-person Hybrid Grade Level Supply Lists
The school will not be accepting any forgotten student items that have been left at home. School staff will make sure that the student with forgotten materials is able to navigate the school day without the forgotten materials.
Students should bring water bottles.
