CDC AND IDPH UPDATED GUIDANCE

Superintendent, Dr. Lori Bein updated the Board of Education on how the updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Health both impact District 25 moving forward.

The Centers for Disease Control updated their publication, When You've Been Fully Vaccinated. Additionally, the Illinois Department of Public Health notified local health departments that the "schools should continue to follow the CDC's school guidance until more people and children are vaccinated." That guidance, as of May 14, 2021, still requires masks and social distancing for everyone in school settings.

The District notified staff and families on May 14, 2021 that all of the mitigation strategies will continue to be implemented at schools and school-sponsored events until there is specific school-related guidance published by the health departments or the Illinois State Board of Education.

The Dunton Administration Center now follows the general CDC and IDPH guidance. Therefore, masks have not be required for vaccinated individuals when they are at Dunton.
