ST. MARY PHOENIX NEWS
February 8, 2017
Mrs. Marvin's Corner
Although the wacky, wild weather the past week had put a damper on our Catholic Schools Week we were able to have a two week celebration of Catholic Schools. Thank you to all of our families and parishioners who took the time to take our St. Mary School Survey. The information we have received from your input is valuable to the future programming of the school.
"A Night in New York" Benefit and Auction is just around the corner. Envelopes went home with your children regarding one of the special raffle opportunities to win a week at a condo near Williamsburg or Disney. Each ticket is $20 and gives you one chance to win this fabulous prize. More tickets are available at the school office for more chances to win. The vacation condo is valued at $1100.00.
Registration for the 2019-2020 School Year including Preschool and Kindergarten is now open. Forms are available on our website or in the office.

"A Night In New York" Fundraiser
Greetings St. Mary families!
After the crazy weather, you may need an event to look forward and SSO has the answer!
You are invited to A Night in New York, a fundraiser for St. Mary School and Parish, to be held Saturday, March 2 from 6-10 pm in the Activity Center. This annual event, with a new theme, is a signature fundraising event for our school and church community.
After many years at Memories Party Center, we are excited to transform our school gym this March into New York City. A full meal from Village Catering, a recent addition, along with appetizers and desserts will be part of the evening along with a cash bar, live and silent auction items, a night out with new and old friends, and most importantly, raising money for our school and church. Thank you to the over 90 people that have already purchased tickets.

The St. Mary Story
Since 1865, people have known St. Mary School students by their actions. This is because throughout our history, we have focused on building student’s character, based on the values instilled by the Catholic Faith, and a foundation of academic excellence.
St. Mary School provides a welcoming environment where families have the freedom to celebrate the faith. In a world of need, responsibility matters and strength is needed to serve our communities. It is our mission to develop students who have the ability to be mentors and leaders in the world. We recognize that each student is a unique gift from God and we individualize instruction to help them reach their full potential. We strive to promote an atmosphere that encourages a love of learning and provides children with a foundation of faith to balance and guide them for the rest of their lives.
