ECHS Reopening Update
We are working on a second semester reopening (1/26/21) plan for ECHS. If you recently received a VUSD Enrollment Survey, there is no need for ECHS families to complete it. We will use our survey data from last month to plan accordingly.
Potential Stay at Home Order
As stated in the Governor’s press conference yesterday, if our Southern California region is placed on a regional stay at home order (expected early December for our area); schools will be exempt from closure. The Governor stated that all schools currently open or have a waiver to open (as Ventura USD does for our TK-5 schools) will remain open. This means that our District's TK-5 schools will be open as planned on Mon. Dec. 7. However, since there is no waiver offered at the secondary level, we must be in the red tier on or before Jan. 12 to open our secondary schools as planned on Jan. 26, 2020. If we are not in the red tier as of Jan. 12 we will reach out to our families to discuss the next steps.
