First Day of School Reminders
Logistics
Please be reminded that all students are to be directed to the cafeteria, 1st floor commons/halls, 2nd floor seating area before school each day. We will ring the first bell at 8:10 AM releasing the students into the entire building. First period will begin at 8:20 AM. (A warning bell will sound at 8:19 AM.)
On the first day of school…before 8:20 AM:
ALL Students must secure an updated schedule (blue paper) from the auxiliary gym.
Students that do not have an ID are to report to the attendance window. Mrs. Broadus will handle all student ID issues.
Students that need to complete the registration process should report to the counselor’s office.
Please handle tardies with discretion the first two days of school. In other words, allow for students to be late as they find their way around the building. As with dress and ID’s, we will begin official enforcement of tardies on Wednesday.
Please remind students that in addition to the main stairwell in the commons (stairwells 3 and 4) stairwells 1 and 2 are open for use.. Stairwell 1 is located on the west end of the building at the end of the SPED (1st floor), FL (2nd floor), and SS (3rd floor) departments. Stairwell 2 is located on the east end of the building at the end of the office (1st floor), ELA (2nd floor), and math (3rd floor.)
You may dress professional or wear a staff polo for the first day of school.
