December Events

Camp Thank You

We had an amazing week at camp, and we are just now getting back into the swing of things. Thank you for sending your amazing children to camp so well prepared - you made my job much easier! I am so proud of their willingness to spend a week away from home and the independence they gained in the process. What an amazing bunch of sixth graders and parents. Thank you!

Pictures from camp are still on the class wiki for you to view. You will need your child's username and password to access the wiki.

Winter Cookie Exchange

December 12th - Typed cookie or baked good recipe due. Please take a minute to find a recipe that your child would like to share and make for the class. Students will have time to type their recipe in class.

December 19th - Winter Cookie Exchange 1:45-2:38 p.m.

Parents are welcome to attend. Each student needs to bring 24 cookies/baked goods to share with the class. Students will be exchanging, snacking, and decorating their cookie recipe book.

Bonus: Students will have a container of goodies to take home and share with their family!

Winter Break

Dec. 24th - Jan.4th - Winter Break - no school

Jan. 7th - school resumes

I encourage students to catch up on a good book over Winter break. It's a great opportunity to read and log completed books on to goldmedalreading.com.

Students know that they should be on level 4 by Jan. 7th when we return to school. You can check your child's status on the Gold Medal Reading website.
