News from the Principal
Just a quick update on recess with Mrs. C. We have spent a couple of days inside due to frigid temperatures. When we are inside, we have been utilizing the computer lab playing educational games, or in the library playing card games such as; War, Uno, Crazy 8's, and Old Maid. We also enjoy playing games like good ol' fashioned modified Seven-Up. When we use the gym our favorite game is Jack Frost Tag or new games like Octopus Tag or British BullDogs. Outside, we are playing four-square, building people, rolling down the hill, or running with the football. We are trying to go outside each day, so please have students ready with their winter apparel!
I am pleased to welcome two new students, Kindergarten student Paul and 4th grader Alissa.
All homeroom teachers will be including their I-Ready (math and reading K-4) log-ins for work at home, as well as their log-ins for footsteps2brilliance (reading app for student K-3) should you be searching for educational activities at home. It will be located in the pocket of their blue folder. Plus, students should be reading 5 books for our annual Fisher Cat Reading Challenge.
As we close in on the halfway point of the school year, please know that all of our students are in the middle of mid-year reading and math assessments through I-Ready.
Report Cards will be issued to only Kindergarten students on Friday, January 28th.
If you have a preschooler and would like to obtain more information on our district Preschool program, located in Townsend, there will be a virtual Information Night this coming Thursday, January 20th, at 6:00 PM. Please see the link below for how to log on.
