Parent Survey
From the Parent Advisory Council:
Please take a few moments to complete the attached survey, prior to December 9th. It is a chance to share your experiences and needs around remote learning. PAC’s Parent Advisory Committee, the Room Reps and the school administration are hoping to use the survey results to find ways to make remote learning more rewarding for your children and easier to manage for you!
If you share your name on this survey, that will allow us to reach out to you directly to help you with your most pressing issues! You can also choose to take the survey anonymously so that you can share concerns without identifying yourself.
Please complete this survey for each child you have at Peirce.
GO CPS Deadline Extended
The pandemic has impacted every aspect of our school year, including the important process our students go through when choosing the school options that will best match their talents, interests, and abilities. So to ensure everyone has the time they need to make this important decision, we are extending the GoCPS application deadline from Friday, December 11, 2020 to Friday, January 8, 2021.
We hope that this added time will give students and families the opportunity they need to carefully consider the many school options that are available throughout the district. As a result of this extension, offers for the 2021-22 school year will come out slightly later than in years past, and we will provide an update with the exact date. In the meantime, we urge our students to look at all of their options, from their neighborhood schools to offerings in STEM, IB, world language, and selective-enrollment, among others, to determine which environment will best meet their needs.
High School Updates from Ms. Choe

Selective Enrollment High School Exam Dates
If you are getting a message that it is closed and you are unable to select an exam date, it is because they may be currently filled. GoCPS will add more test sessions, please continue to check your GoCPS account. In order to select your selective enrollment exam date you need to complete your GoCPS application first. Students who test in November will receive their scores by mid-February. Students who test on all other dates will receive their scores in spring 2021, when the application results are released. Update on Peirce Solidarity Fund
Thank you to everyone for their support of the mutual aid fund that we started over the summer. To date, more than $20,000 in aid has been distributed. 39 families have benefited.
Families who have donated have received assistance, and families who have received assistance have vowed to donate as soon as they are in a position to do so. This shows a commitment to solidarity and mutual aid -- not just charity.
We are continuing to accept contributions as well as requests for assistance. You can find us on Venmo @PeirceSolidarityFund and on PayPal, at PeirceSolidarityFund@gmail.com. If you are in need, please email us at PeirceSolidarityFund@gmail.com (Spanish or English).
