Riverside Mission/Purpose Statement

The mission of Riverside Elementary is to provide a nurturing, enthusiastic, and safe environment that acknowledges individual differences, encourages community involvement, and emphasizes an ongoing commitment to academic excellence.

These kindergarten scientists are learning first hand what it takes for one tiny bean to become a plant! Every day they observe and evaluate the changes from the day before and record their new observations and predictions in their journals. After reading Jack and the Beanstalk, growing beans took on a whole new meaning!

Riverside's PTA 5th grade committee partnered with the environmental committee and had a day of service to spruce up the butterfly garden. We now have an improved outdoor space to take students for outdoor learning. Our PTA volunteers added shade flaps, fresh coats of paint, new plants, and did a general clean up. We are so fortunate and thankful for our amazing PTA!

We have exciting news in the media center! We are up for our 20+ year remodel. The media center will be closed the week after spring break. Students may continue to return books during this time.

"Who's that trippity trip tripping on my bridge?"

The 5th graders have been working hard in theatre arts! These students are preparing to present the classic tale 3 Billy Goats Gruff to four kindergarten classes and two 2nd grade classes. Performances will begin the Friday following spring break and continue each Friday until May 21st. Break a leg 5th graders!
