What is ASNVC?
A quick guide to NVC student life & your student government!
ASNVC is YOU!
The Associated Students of Napa Valley College (ASNVC) is the student body of NVC, organized by student leaders elected to the ASNVC Board.
The ASNVC Board has two main responsibilities--to ensure that the student voice is heard in important college decisions, and to provide an active, welcoming student life on campus.
Big thanks to students for creating the Student Activities Fee
The Student Activities Fee (SAF) is a small, semesterly fee that funds student life activities, services, and programs. The SAF was voted on and passed by the students in the Spring 2012 elections. The SAF has funded activities and projects like:
Chartered campus clubs
Club Rush
Entertainment series and events
African American Celebration Dinner
Constitution Day
Look for these SAF-funded activities in late Fall 2013 and Spring 2014:
NEW STUDENT LOUNGE and ACTIVITIES CENTER!
African American Celebration Dinner
Current Issues Speaker Series
Graduation Ceremony
More entertainment!
How do I get involved with ASNVC activities?
The best way to learn about ASNVC is by dropping in on one of our weekly meetings, which are held every Friday at 10:00 AM in the Cultural Center (inside Cafeteria) during Fall 2013. Afterwards, you can talk to different ASNVC Board officers about how you can participate!
