Bobcat Bulletin February 1, 2023
Keep Going Keep Growing
A MESSAGE FROM MRS. ANDERSON
Dear Bobcat Families:
It’s hard to believe that we are already in Semester 2! Students are settled in routines and understand our school-wide expectations. As a Leader In Me School, we continue to focus on the 7 habits and creating meaningful opportunities for our students as we continue to grow leaders within our building.
I would like to take this opportunity to communicate parking safety reminders. We recognize that parking can be challenging before and after school, but it is important for the safety and well-being of our community that we follow appropriate drop-off procedures. Please do not drop off students in the handicap parking area. Please drop off students in the morning near the numbered orange cones with the covered walkway.
Thank you to our Bobcat families for your participation and contributions to our Scholastic Book Fair. It’s always a great week when we can celebrate reading with our students. We also had a chance to celebrate literacy week as we took a “dive into literacy!” Students enjoyed daily activities, a school-wide art contest, and an I-ready reading challenge.
As always, thank you for your continued support. Please reach out to me with any concerns, comments, or suggestions.
In partnership,
Mrs. Anderson, Principal

Please see the chart below to find out what your child will be learning in math this month. Examples of problems and/or strategies they are working on are included for each grade level so you can help support your child at home. Also, flash cards have been given to students in grades 1-5. Please practice with your child to build their math skills!

ELA Conversations with Dr. Ortiz

Science Corner with Ms. Lopez
Greetings Bobcats! Below, are topics that will be covered this month in each grade.

Classroom Celebrations
- Fall Festival
- Winter Holiday
- Valentine’s Day
- End of Year
On the classroom celebration days, refreshments and treats must be store bought. Treats/refreshments are not permitted to be brought into the building for dates other than the four celebrations listed above. Each classroom teacher acknowledges a child’s birthday in various ways. In all cases, children are recognized on their special day. Birthday parties will not be held at school.
To help avoid disruption of activities, we ask that you refrain from having flowers or balloons delivered to your child at school. These items cannot be transported by bus, nor delivered to the classroom during school hours.
