Wow! February flew by!! We are going to jump right into March with Dr. Seuss week this coming week.
On Monday, wear silly socks to recognize Fox in Socks.
On Tuesday, wear crazy hair as we recognize Daisy Head Maizy.
On Wednesday, dress wacky for Wacky Wednesday.
On Thursday dress as your favorite book character for Cat in the Hat.
- On Thursday the school will be open until 6 if you would like to come and shop the book fair.
On Friday, you can wear your PJ's for the Sleep Book.
The students and I are SO excited about the field trip to Charlotte Motor Speedway and Drag Way. I have received quite a few permission slips and money for this trip. If you have any questions or concerns about the trip, please feel free to message or call me. I am always happy to help and answer any questions.
Reminders
- Thank you so much to those folks who have sent in snacks this week! If you don't mind, once a month sending in a snack for the students in our class (17). This will be a great help. If you send your child's snack daily, please disregard this.
- Please send your child with a water bottle, it can be a simple plastic water bottle. We refill it here in our classroom. We are out of cups, mini waters, and juice boxes. Your child needs something to drink during the day, they cannot drink out of the water fountain.

Homework- Sharpening our Skills
Letterland: We will continue to follow the Letterland Format, I have added a copy of the instructions and this weeks words here.
Reading: This week you will notice a new reading sheet coming home, I have updated your child's reading level to reflect their reading tests this week!! You all should be proud of these kids, they have been working hard and it shows! Just as a reminder I am attaching the instructions below. This homework will target your child's reading fluency (how fast they accurately read) and allow your child to practice some of their comprehension skills. There is one question to answer nightly. Please note, every child has a reading sheet tailored to their current reading level. If you find that this is much too hard or easy, please let me know.
