Childhood and Early Life

Walt Disney was born on December 5th, 1901. From an early age he was very optimistic and loved history. He was one of five children and his parents were Flora Call Disney and Elias Disney. When he was five he worked for his dad as a paper boy. After being a paper boy, he soon started to love vaudeville and movies.

Teenage Years

In 1907, he was a cartoonist for his high school. After that one year of high school he dropped out of high school and never went to a school again. In 1920, he worked for an ad company and made Laugh-o-Gram ad reels.

What he was famous for and fun facts

He was famous for creating Disney Land and World and being a pioneer of cartoon films. He also purchased Pixar for 7.4 billion dollars. His first cartoon character was actually Oswald the Rabbit, not Mickey Mouse. He has a minor planet named after him called Disneya. Wall-e was also named after him. During World War 2, he created custom cartoon insignia for US soldiers.
